The South Shore Improvement Association, Inc. was formed May 18, 1925, to be a Not for profit organization. The below quote is from our articles of incorporation.
The purpose for which it is formed is; For the development of a closer bond of good fellowship and comradeship between the members of this Association. To take over, improve and control the beach adjoining the South Shore Sub-division known as Lot A. To provide funds for the improving of the beach... To act as a body in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the lot owners in the South Shore Sub-division and to provide funds in such matters, provided, however, that this association is not to be operated for profit, either for the association or an individual member.
